To
keep this simple, I am only going to refer to commission
paintings on this page. If you would like
to discuss a sculpture, please give me a call for details,
pricing, etc., as it is much more complex, and needs
a more detailed explanation.
Before
I can know what necessary material that I will need,
in order to create a painting for you, , there are a
few other bits of information I will need to know, such
as........
Size
of painting
Will
it be on canvas, or gessoboard
Will
there be a detailed background, or do you want just
a head study?
How many
subjects in the painting, and how you would like them
portrayed?
What
photos, reference materials would you like me to use
as my main focus?
What attitude
and personality traits would you like expressed?
Do
you want me to frame it, or do you have your own framer?
What
are the feelings and memories that you want expressed
in your special work of art?
And,
of course, what your budget is.
My
commissions start at $575.00, for a 14"
x 18" head study, which includes framing, and shipping
to you anywhere in the continental United States.
If
you would like more than one animal in the painting,
a detailed background, people, etc., I would have
to discuss all these options with you personally, in
order for me to give you an accurate quote.
I
usually require a deposit of 1/3 to
1/2 of the total price before I start a commission.
The balance is due upon approval and completion, and
a payment plan can be discussed, if you would like to
spread out the payments. It can take anywhere
from 3 months to 1 year for a painting to be completed,
depending on where you are on my commission calendar,
and the complexity of the piece. During that time,
I will keep you up to date on how your painting is coming
along, and make sure that the composition is to your
liking and approval.
Thank
you for visiting my commissions page.
If
you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate
to call me with your questions. There are so many
details that cannot be covered here on this website,
so I encourage you to contact me with your questions!
Sincerely,
Susan Norris-Romero
